Choose Life Team

 The Esther Foundations "CHOOSE LIFE" tri-athlon team is made up of current and former program participants and graduates. The team was inspired by graduate Adelle, who as part of her 'community' aspect of graduation process decided that recreational athletics can play a vital role in ones recovery from depression, addictions and low self esteem. With this the girls started training for the above "innaugural"event for the team.
 

Matilda Bay Classic

City to Surf

The team with volunteer and motivational 'boot camp' coach Major Clare Swiderski from the Australian Defence Force. Clare has been part of the team for 3 events now and is Coordinating the City of South Perth "Esther Fiesta Fun Run" in March 2009.

 

State 3000m U/16 title holder and program participant Gemma, got to meet her idol and role model Cathy Freeman after completing the 'City to Surf'.
