In addition to the extensive recovery program which includes all of the additional aspects of creative arts, recreation, education and leadership development; participants of the program are given opportunities within the Esther organisation and within the community, for workplace training.
With this, some young women have gained full time and casual employment with several businesses across Perth, with one program graduate landing a position as a Dental Nurse trainee with the local Dentist who supports the organisation and another young girl starting a cadetship with Woodside Energy.
After volunteering at a cafe that also supports our organisation, one of the young women was employed as a casual Cook and others receive Barista training within the cafe.
The foundation also operates CATERGIRLS Catering Company, who are always quite busy and offer many training and development skills in cooking, preparing food, waitress and event management.
As part of the graduation process, program participants are also given the responsibility and the experience of assisting the Shift Leader with duties around the delivery of services within the program. This will quite often couple with their studies at TAFE that are available in Community Services.
